Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery is a medical speciality that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of patients who have injuries, or diseases/disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and spinal column, as well as peripheral nerves in all sections of the body. Adult and pediatric patients are both treated under the neurosurgical profession. A neurological surgeon may give surgical and/or non-surgical care, depending on the type of damage or disease. According to the World Health Organization, brain illnesses affect over 1 billion people worldwide, account for 12 percent of global disease burden, and result in 14 percent of global extinction. Post-surgical neuralgias, Brain tumor and metastasis, Oncological neurosurgery, Spine surgery, Neuroanaesthesia and surgery, and vascular malfunctions and surgery are all specified based on the prevalence of diseases. As a result, we must improve our knowledge of modern neurosurgical techniques and associated topics.
