Biography :

Dr. Ricardo Maccioni is a Professor of Neurology and Neurosciences, University of Chile. Currently, Director of the Laboratory of Neurosciences & Scientific Director of the ICC. He has served as Professor at the University of Colorado Medical School, U.S.A. He received his doctoral degree in 1975, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the NIH and CU Med Sch, Denver, U.S.A. and a visiting scholar at the Max Plank Institute in Germany. He is a world class scientist that has made some of world leading contributions to the study of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and consciousness phenomenon. His discoveries on the role of tau protein, his neuroimmunomodulation theory of neurodegenerative disorders, design of a new in vivo neuroimaging technology, markers for its early diagnosis and innovative approaches for the treatment of AD, are among major contributions. He has served as Senior and Regional Editor of the Journal of Alzheimer´s Disease, and boards of Alzheimer´s Reports, Open Neurology, Journal of Neurochemistry, Therapeutic Advances in Chronic Diseases, Frontiers in Dementia, Archives of Medical Research and other. Co-author with George Perry of the book “Current Hypotheses and Research Milestones in Alzheimer´s Disease”, among other 12 books in the medical field. Considered by the scientific community as a natural leader for his high-impact publications, but also for directing global projects for science development and human welfare.

Biography :

Panteleimon Giannakopoulos was born in 1965 in Greece. He obtained his MD degree in the University of Athens in 1989 before completing a full training on psychiatry and psychotherapy in London (Maudsley Hospital and Geneva) as well as postdoc training in Paris (La Pitié-Sâlpetrière Hospital, Federation of Neurology). In 1998, aged 33 years, he has been appointed as associate professor and medical head of the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry of the University Hospitals of Geneva. Later on (2004) he obtained the position of full tenured professor of Psychiatry in the University of Geneva. From 2003 to 2011, he also assumed a parallel position of full professor of Old Age Psychiatry in the University of Lausanne in order to promote the academic careers of junior staff locally. He has been Chairman of the Department of Mental Health and Psychiatry in Geneva for ten years (2005-2015) and vice dean of the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Geneva in charge of postgraduate and continuous education (2003-2011). From December 1st 2015, he is the medical head of the forensic psychiatry development in Geneva country. Specialist of Alzheimer disease research, he published more than 240 peer-reviewed articles in the field of neurobiology of aging with particular focus on predictive biomarkers of cognitive decline.

Biography :

Jerzy Leszek is full professor of psychiatry at the Medical University in Wroclaw , Poland ,vice –director of the Psychiatry Department and head of Alzheimer’s Disease Lab. He is author and co-author more than 210 papers (especially from old age psychiatry), some chapters to the books published in reputed Polish and international journals and serving as an editorial board member of several journals .He is Scientific Editor and co-author of first Polish academic handbook on Alzheimer’s disease and seven another academic handbooks from psychogeriatry , member a lot of scientific associations eg founder and president of Lower Silesian Association of Alzheimer’s Families, first of its kind in Poland and Former Member of Board of Directions of International Psychogeriatric Association and President of Polish Psychogeriatric Association.

Walter Bini has completed his Diploma at Westminster School, Simsbury Conn. USA and Post-graduate degree at Universidad de Zaragoza, Facultad de Medicina, Zaragoza-Spain. In 2014, he was the Middle East Chairman of ISLASS. He was Head of Neurosurgery at Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital, UAQ-UAE from 2014-2016. Currently, he is Consultant Neurosurgeon in Orthopedic department, spine section of Lanzo Hospital COF, Lanzo d’Intelvi in Italy and also Visiting Consultant Neurosurgeon in Orthopedic department at Healthpoint Hospital, UAE.

Soraya L Valles graduated in Biological Science at the University of Valencia in 1985 and in 1996 she finished her PhD in the IIC Institute looking for astrogliogenesis during brain development. In 1997 she spent three years at Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, UK. She was working in inflammation and regulation of IL-1 and IL-1 receptor. In 2000 she returned to Spain at Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine in University of Valencia until now. She is working in toxicity in developmental and neurodegenerative disease (such as Alzheimer’s disease) looking for oxidative stress and inflammation mechanisms.

Mohamed FAhmy Zeid completed completed Master of General Surgery in 1988 and pursued his fellowship in the department of Neurosurgery in 1994.He earned doctorate degree in Neurological surgery in 1994. He was the House officer in Ministry of Health Hospitals and Alexandria university Hospitals for one year from 1983 to 1984.He worked as physician in the Ministry of Health Hospitals from 1984 to 1987.He is Registrar of Neurosurgery in private hospital from 1987 to 1988.He is Assistant lecturer of Neurosurgical department of Alexandria University Hospitals from 1988 to 1994.He is chief consultant of Neurosurgery in Saqr Hospitals, UAE from 2000 to 2003.He visited to Neurological surgery department, Royal College of Medicine,London in 2001. He is working as Professor of Neurosurgery department at Alexandria University from 2010 to till date and he is the Founder & President of Brain & Skull Egyptian Society from Last October 2017.

Dr. Matevz Leskovsek has earned his PhD degree from University of Ljubljana in 2014 and has since been specializing in T cell, IL cell and TLR cell modulated immune responses in asthma and their pharmacological suppressive agents with main focus on long term effects of short acting beta2-adrenoceptor agonists. Dr Matevz Leskovsek is working at Breathing Labs, Slovenia where he is running a diverse team of researchers performing and publishing in fields of immunology, neurology, and vaccines. He is also a pioneer scientist in the field of electroporation assisted DNA vaccination which is based on a gene-electrotransfer phenomena that has been shown to enhance DNA vaccine efficacy up to three orders of magnitude and to achieve responses comparable to those achieved with protein vaccines.

Jayme Strauss MSN, RN, MBA, SCRN is the Director of Neuroscience Clinical and Business Operations at Baptist Health South Florida located in Miami, FL. She supports the neuroscience service line throughout the organization which is comprised of 9 hospitals. She received her BSN from Cedar Crest College in Allentown Pennsylvania, and her MSN and MBA at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. Jayme also is an adjunct clinical professor of Nursing at Barry University in Miami shores, FL. She holds her Stroke Certified Registered Nurse. She has eight years of acute neuro experience including: Trauma Neuro ICU, Neuro ICU, Neuro Progressive Care, and Neuroscience Telemetry as a bedside clinician, manager, professor, and administrator. In Jayme’s current role she is responsible for all clinical and business operations of the Neuroscience Service Line including The Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center, NAEC Certified Level 4 Epilepsy Center, and first ABRET accredited Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Center in Florida. In addition she supports nursing functions for rehab and imaging, neuroscience research, EEG, and acute care neurosurgery program.

Nataliia O. Melnyk - the Professor of the Histology and Embryology Department of National O.O.Bogomolets Medical University, the Leading Research Scientist of the Experimental Modeling Laboratory at the State Institute of Genetic and Regenerative Medicine National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Kyiv. Graduated from Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University in 1993, after an assignment she worked as an engineer in the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics. During 2008- 2011, she worked as Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Methodology of the National O.O.Bogomolets Medical University. She has more than 270 scientific and methodological works, 5 patents of scientific research.

Delegates are personally responsible for their belongings at the venue. The Organizers will not be held responsible for any stolen or missing items belonging to Delegates, Speakers or Attendees; due to any reason whatsoever.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind.

Transportation

Please note that any (or) all transportation and parking is the responsibility of the registrant.

Press/Media

Press permission must be obtained from Allied academies Organizing Committee prior to the event. The press will not quote speakers or delegates unless they have obtained their approval in writing. The Allied academies are a non-profit organization. This conference is not associated with any commercial meeting company.

Requesting an Invitation Letter

For security purposes, letter of invitation will be sent only to those individuals who had registered for the conference. Once your registration is complete, please contact immunologycongress@alliedconferences.org to request a personalized letter of invitation.

 

Regarding refunds, all bank charges will be for the registrants account.

 

Cancellation, Postponement and Transfer of Registration

All cancellations or modifications of registration must be made in writing to immunologycongress@alliedconferences.org

Cancellation Policy

If Allied academies cancel this event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied academies conferences event which must occur within one year from the date of cancellation.

Postponement

If Allied academies postpones an event for any reason and you are unable or unwilling to attend on rescheduled dates, you will receive a credit for 100% of the registration fee paid. You may use this credit for another Allied academies conferences event which must occur within one year from the date of postponement.

Transfer of registration

All fully paid registrations are transferable to other persons from the same organization, if registered person is unable to attend the event. Transfers must be made by the registered person in writing to immunologycongress@alliedconferences.org. Details must be included with the full name of replacement person, their title, contact phone number and email address. All other registration details will be assigned to the new person unless otherwise specified.

Registration can be transferred to one conference to another conference of Allied academies if the person is unable to attend one of conferences.

However, Registration cannot be transferred if it is intimated within 14 days of respective conference.

The transferred registrations will not be eligible for Refund.

Visa Information

Keeping in view of increased security measures, we would like to request all the participants to apply for Visa as soon as possible.

Allied academies will not directly contact embassies and consulates on behalf of visa applicants. All delegates or invitees should apply for Business Visa only.

Important note for failed visa applications: Visa issues cannot come under the consideration of cancellation policy of Allied academies, including the inability to obtain a visa.

Refund Policy:

If the registrant is unable to attend, and is not in a position to transfer his/her participation to another person or event, then the following refund arrangements apply:

Keeping in view of advance payments towards Venue, Printing, Shipping, Hotels and other overheads, we had to keep Refund Policy is as following slabs-

Before 60 days of the conference: Eligible for Full Refund less $100 service Fee
Within 60-30 days of Conference: Eligible for 50% of payment Refund
Within 30 days of Conference: Not eligible for Refund
E-Poster Payments will not be refunded.
Accommodation Cancellation Policy:

Accommodation Providers (Hotels) have their own cancellation policies, and they generally apply when cancellations are made less than 30 days prior to arrival. Please contact us as soon as possible, if you wish to cancel or amend your accommodation. Allied academies will advise the cancellation policy of your accommodation provider, prior to cancelling or amending your booking, to ensure you are fully aware of any non-refundable deposits.
