Umur Kayabasi is a graduate of Istanbul Medical Faculty. After working as an assistant in Ophthalmology, he completed his clinical fellowship program of Neuro- ophthalmology and electrophysiology at Michigan StateUniversity in 1995. After working as a consultant neuro- ophthalmologist in Istanbul, he worked at Wills Eye Hospital for 3 months as an observer. He has been working at World Eye Hospital since 2000. He has chapters in different neuro- ophthalmology books, arranged international symposiums, attended TV programs to advertise the neuro- ophthalmology subspecialty. He has also given lectures at local and international meetings, plus published papers in neuro ophthalmology.
Soraya L Valles graduated in Biological Science at the University of Valencia in 1985 and in 1996 she finished her PhD in the IIC Institute looking for astrogliogenesis during brain development. In 1997 she spent three years at Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield, UK. She was working in inflammation and regulation of IL-1 and IL-1 receptor. In 2000 she returned to Spain at Department of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine in University of Valencia until now. She is working in toxicity in developmental and neurodegenerative disease (such as Alzheimer’s disease) looking for oxidative stress and inflammation mechanisms.

Dr. Ahmet Turan ISIK finished his graduation from Gulhane Military Medical Academy in 1995. He received specialist training in internal medicine in 2002 and became a specialist in internal medicine. In 2007, He completed geriatric side branch education and became a geriatrician. He had completed postgraduate studies both in the country and abroad on cognitive disorders and dementia (dementia) syndromes, especially Alzheimer's disease in the ages. He received associate professor position on December 2006 and Professor Title on March 2012. He is currently serving as the Head of the Department of Geriatrics at Dokuz Eylul University Medical Faculty. He is also a part-time faculty member at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Eastern Mediterranean University. His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals. He is also author of many international books.
